Central Library - Knowledge Resource Center
Central Library, Knowledge Resource Center is one of the central support services of Government Degree College Avanigadda. It was established in the year 1978. The Department of Library Science is a Separate wing for the convenient use of Students and Staff. The Library is under process of computerize action.
Aims and Objectives:
- Supporting education goals of the students and also job aspirants of the locality.
- Be the knowledge hub of the college helping to organize knowledge disseminates Programs.
- Provide a curriculum-based, flexibly scheduled, open access learning environment that accommodates all learners.
- Encourage and foster reading habit among staff and students.
- To help the students to develop knowledge laterally as well through procuring useful books.
Working Hours:
Day: Study & Reference
Monday-Saturday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Closed on public Holidays and Remains open on Sundays.
General Rules:
- Readers are requested enter their name etc in register before entering into the central library.
- Members should produce their ID card to the staff as and when asked for.
- Complete silence must be observed within the central library.
- Members are requested to check the condition of the books before getting issued.
- Underlining, scribbling and tearing of pages or any other type of mutilation of books are strictly prohibited and will be severely dealt with.
- If any member is caught carrying any un-issued material out of central library, he/she will pay a fine of Rs.500/-, at the circulation counter and student will be debarred from entering into the library for an academic year.
- Switch OFF your mobile or turn into silence mode while entering into the central library.
